Save Minnesota Fundraising Reaches $1,093,000
PERM (Proper Economic Resource Management) is a non-profit conservation club dedicated to promoting balanced solutions to natural resource management issues. The campaign to "Save Minnesota" was initiated by Bud Grant and PERM. A goal of $1.5 million was set to protect the interests of sportsmen, property owners, small businesses, and other concerned citizens in Minnesota Indian treaty lawsuits.
As the Mille Lacs and Fond du Lac Indian treaty lawsuits have made their way through the courts, the volunteers for PERM have continued the effort to insure the strongest possible defense is put forth.
Your continued support is essential. We still have a bill of about $100,000 to pay resulting from the Mille Lacs lawsuit, and the Fond Du Lac Band's hunting and fishing rights case in Northeastern Minnesota is still ongoing. Our efforts to educate the public and our elected officials about what's at stake costs money too. No other organization is as well equipped as PERM to fight for your rights against the onslaught by the tribal governments and their allies.
Over 100 organizations representing thousands of citizens have donated to "Save Minnesota."
If you care about your freedom, property rights, voice in government, quality of life, and pursuit of fish and game, you had better join PERM today!
PERM's 3rd Annual Brainerd Area Fundraiser Makes $9,000!
This year's event in the Brainerd area was held at The Old Waterfall on Hwy. 371 North of Brainerd. In addition to the chicken and roast beef dinner, there were raffles, a silent and live auction, and several informative guest speakers. We want to thank Dave Schubert who donated his time to be our auctioneer. We also want to thank Travis Mills and Mills Fleet Farm for their instrumental role in helping us put on this event. Hank Dombovy and all the volunteers for PERM did a great job as usual. We need to point out that thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was donated from area businesses. They give a great deal back to the community and we appreciate their support!
PERM's 5th Annual Deer Hunter's Supper Raises $4,000!
Great food and a great time, were the comments heard from those who stopped at Smokin' Hill for our annual dinner for deer hunters heading North the Friday night before the Minnesota firearms deer hunting season. A special thanks is in order for Justin Schmidt who prepares the food for this event. By all accounts it is fabulous. And thank you to everyone on the Mille Lacs Lake Committee for volunteering their time to make this event possible. We also owe a great deal to all the area businesses who chipped in merchandise and food. We can't do an event without them!
