PERM Raises $12,178 at Sport Shows!

January through March is sport show season, and PERM is out there at these events informing show goers with the latest news about natural resource management in the 1837 Treaty area. In addition to speaking with thousands of concerned sportsmen and handing out bundles of information, PERM volunteers manage to raise a few bucks by selling PERM merchandise and raffle chances. This season volunteers staffed booths at the Walleye/Bass Expo, St. Could Sportsmen’s Show, Northwest Sports Show and Muskie Expo.Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us. Congratulations to Dennis Kobiela from Mora, John Kline from Brooklyn Center, and Jerry Hobbs from Maple Grove. They each won the special membership drawings at the Muskie Expo, Northwest Sport Show and Walleye Expo. Thanks to everyone who helped set up and tear down the booths, staff the booths during show hours, and coordinate each show!

PERM’s Metro Area Fundraiser nets $12,500!

This year’s event was January 9, 2003, at the Blainbrook Entertainment Center in Blaine, MN. A near record crowd enjoyed the chicken and catfish dinner, as well as all the raffles and auctions held. Special guest speaker was famed fisherman and KSTP-AM radio personality Larry Bollig. PERM would like to thank everyone who made this event successful. Countless local merchants provided hundreds of great prizes. Dozens of volunteers worked the event. Hundreds of our supporters turned out for an enjoyable and informative evening. Most of all, we want to thank Jim Wille and Marv Carlson for planning and organizing everything.
