Rice Area Sportsman Club donates $8,000!
PERM is extremely grateful to the folks from the Rice Area Sportsman Club for donating the proceeds from their annual banquet each April in Foley, MN. As always, this years event was a huge success. The folks from Rice really know how to put on an event! Henrys Banquet Center provides a first rate facility, with exceptional food and service. The Sportsmans Club conducts raffles as well as a silent and live auction with hundreds of fine items from area businesses.
Annual Spring Pig Roast makes $9,000!
PERMs Annual Spring Pig Roast has become a very popular event each year as anxious Mille Lacs Lake enthusiasts prepare for another open-water season. This years event on April 27th in Wahkon, MN, featured guest speaker DNR Commissioner Gene Merriam, who shared his views on issues surrounding the Mille Lacs fishery. PERM would like to thank everyone who helped put this event together, especially Joe Karpen and the PERM Lake Area Committee.
PERMs Annual Spring Auction clears $17,000!
June 7, 2003 was the date for this years Spring Auction held ad Stan Vissers home in Ogilvie, MN. PERM thanks all the fine supporters who donated and consigned items for sale at this event. Your generosity is amazing! We also want to thank everyone who came to bid on items at the sale. We could not have an auction without willing buyers. Most importantly, we would like to thank all the volunteers who worked to make this event successful, especially our auctioneers Les Stromberg and Byron Robyn from Ogilvie. They did a great job! Finally, a special thank you to the host of our Annual Spring Auction, Stan Visser from Ogilvie, MN. We know what an inconvenience hosting an auction is. The event literally takes over his home and yard each spring. We appreciate your hard work and the generous gift of the use of your property!
PERMs Annual Hillman Area Fundraiser nets $7,000!
This annual event co-sponsored and hosted by the Hillman Legion was on June 14, 2003. Local organizations from the Hillman Area get involved by contributing money or merchandise for the many raffles and the silent and live auction. Dave Schubert donates his services for the live auction. Roast Beef and Pork, as well as those renowned dumplings and sour kraut are the feature items on the menu each year. Thanks to the guys and gals who work so hard preparing all that great food! Thanks to all the area businesses that contributed merchandise for the event. Thank you to everyone who attended. And thanks to the volunteers who worked to organize and make the event possible, especially event chairman, Hank Dombovy!
