EMCSC/PERM Trap Shoot makes $500 for PERM!

PERM would like to thank the Easter Morrison County Sportsman’s Club for hosting our annual trap and sporting clays shoot on July 19, 2003 at their club house and range east of Pierz, MN on Hwy. 27. Proceeds from the shooting events are used by EMCSC for range improvements, and proceed from the silent auction and other games are used by PERM to promote better fisheries management at Mille Lacs Lake.

PERM makes record $2,400 at Aitkin County Fair!

PERM volunteers staffed a booth again this summer at the Aitkin County Fair. A record $2,400 was raised through raffle sales and wildlife art sales. In addition, volunteers handed out PERM Newsletters and discussed the latest news about Mille Lacs Lake with fair goers. A special thanks is in order for Leonard Schafer for coordinating the booth, and for everyone who helped staff it during the fair.

Crow Wing County Fair booth raises $4,200!

The Crow Wing County Fair booth was a great success again this year for PERM. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a successful fair. We want to thank the folks from the Brainerd area for all the support they showed us.

Rockville Area Sportsman Club Fundraiser takes in $1,300 for PERM!

This year marked the 2nd Annual Fundraiser with the Rockville Sportsman Club. Once again, attendees were treated to a ribeye steak dinner with all the trimmings. The food was superb! we had a silent and live auction, as well as several raffles. PERM members are extremely grateful to the Rockville Sportsman Club for hosting this event for us.

PERM’s Annual Fall Auction generates $5,000!

This year marked the first year at our new location for PERM’s Annual Fall Auction. We want to thank all the folks at Henry’s Auction Center in Foley, MN for hosting our event and helping us out with all the details. To have an auction we need merchandise. We would like to thank everyone who donated and consigned items for this years sale. Merchandise was collected by PERM, The Rice Area Sportsman’s Club, The Rockville Area Sportsman Club, and The Eastern Morrison County Sportsman’s Club. We can’t sell items without buyers. We had a good crowd of bidders this year. Thanks to everyone who showed up to bid on merchandise. Finally, we always rely on PERM volunteers to help out preparing for the event, working the day of the event, and cleaning up after the event. We really appreciate our overworked PERM volunteers!

Game Fair Booth clears over $7,000!

Game Fair 2003 at the Armstrong ranch in Anoka, MN is the place to be for sportsmen in August. This six day event, spread over two weekends, is always a success for PERM. Volunteers handed out thousands of PERM Newsletters and sold hundreds of raffle tickets to raise money to fight for proper management of our natural resources. We want to thank the folks at Game Fair for allowing us to be a part of this extravaganza. And we want to thank all the show attendees who gave us so much financial and moral support. We had two special drawings for this show only. The first was a Marlin .22 Rifle. It was a free drawing for anyone who stopped at the booth. The winner was John Zuehlke from Maple Grove, MN. The second was for a PERM Limited Edition Wildlife Art Print. Anyone who joined or renewed their membership at the show was eligible to win. The winner was Paul Montie from Coon Rapids, MN. He chose “Opening Day on Lake Mille Lacs”, by Les Kouba & Bud Grant. Congratulations to both our Game Fair drawing winners! Finally we want to thank Marv Carlson & Jim Wille for coordinating the show, and all the rest of the volunteers for helping out!
