BIG WIN FOR PERM, MERF, MILLE LACS COUNTY and residents. The attached article outlines the latest ruling from the 8th district court of appeals. The portion that hits on the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation boundary moots the previous ruling by 8th district judge Susan Nelson, that ruled the ML Band retained the 61,000 acre reservation boundary of 1855. The boundary is as it has been recognized for about 175 yrs, about 3,500 acres.
