PERM’s Goal of “Equal Hunting and Fishing Rights” Is Being Threatened

Last Updated: December 2, 2024By

Once again PERM’s goal of “Equal Hunting and Fishing Rights” is being threatened!

We are sharing the following press release with hopes of getting our like-minded folks to share this info and contact Senator Tina Smith. WHY do federal politicians feel it is their right to give away federal land? Once federal land is given to American Indian Tribes they have a tendency to change hunting and fishing laws that affect both tribal and non-tribal outdoorsmen/women. These land transfers have become commonplace with state and federal politicians under pretense of giving land back to tribes that have claimed the land was stolen. These lands were bought and paid for through treaties and acts of congress.

Please contact Tina Smith, ask for answers, preferably in writing.

Why do you continue to give away federal land?
What is the history of this land?
Have you received any campaign or other contributions from any American Indian Tribes, how much?

From Representative Matt Bliss

Earlier today, Representative Krista Knudsen and myself sent Out a news release to our local media drawing attention to Senator Tina Smith’s bill that proposes transferring an additional 4,000 acres of land in Cass County.
